Do you count down the seconds on the clock until you can go home? Are you feeling burned out with all the work you’re putting into your dental practice? Do you feel like you have no time for anything else?

If you’re like most dental practice owners, you probably answered yes.

Look… everyone has a different reason for starting a dental practice, and while it is incredibly rewarding at times, it’s also a never-ending grind.

Make no mistake, running a successful practice is hard work, but it DOESN’T have to consume you every waking hour.

You CAN have successful practice while still having time for your relationships, watching sports, hanging out with your kids, or anything else you like to spend time doing.

My guest today, Justin Short is living proof.

Justin owns a very successful practice in the STL area and is also the founder of TheLifestylePractice.com where he shares his tips on how to maximize productivity and break free from the never ending grind.

For the last several years he’s been obsessed with how to grow his practice while still having work-life balance.
I think you’ll find his approach to work refreshing, and I know there are a few things you’ll be able to apply to your own practice.

As a dental practice owner trying to grow your business, you’re always on the lookout for new ways to get patients in the door.

But let’s be honest, with so many options, it can be just a little bit overwhelming.

I’ve even experienced this myself, with my business DentistMetrics.

How many times have you heard the following from a friend or colleague.

“You need to be on Facebook.”

“You need to be running Google ads.”

“You need to be on Instagram… Snapchat.. Or the latest marketing platform.”

Of course, many of these tools and strategies are great for bringing in more business, but in always searching for the ‘next best thing’ we often neglect the simple path to what actually works.

One of the things that just works but is often overlooked, is patient reviews.

Which is why I’m excited to share today’s conversation with Dr. Shawn Van De Vyver who previously joined us on Episode 35 of the podcast.

Dr. Shawn is the Founder of Great Lakes Dentistry and a super successful entrepreneur in the dental space. And he’s cracked the code on how to get patient reviews without spending hours of your time with the process.

I think you’ll find our conversation eye opening when it comes to the power of patient reviews.

One of the hardest parts about running a dental practice is keeping a consistent revenue stream coming in month after month.

Some months you might do great.. And the next month.. Not so much.

This often leads to an incredible amount of stress and lost productivity.

Of course, you can always ramp up your marketing and referral efforts, but sometimes that’s just not enough. Fortunately there are other ways to ensure the lights stay on while staying sane.

Today I’m excited to share my conversation with Dr. John Montoya, owner of two successful practices and founder of Boulder Dental Design the Elm Savings Plan.

I think you’ll find our conversation full of actionable insights you can take today to help improve your practice.

Here are a few things you'll discover in today's episode
